Experience the St Maarten Nightlife

After you’ve spent the day exploring the island, you can spend your evenings out in St.Maarten to try your luck at one of the island’s friendly casinos and dine in one of the island’s many superb restaurants, enjoying every variation of food you might be craving while on your Caribbean vacation.

For those of you who would like to be a part of the St Maarten nightlife you can stop off at the Cheri’s Café where you are sure to be thrilled with the live music and the crowd sing and dance along spots. For those of you that enjoy a move active role there are various restaurants on the island that cater not only to your palate but also to your vocal chords with Karaoke.

The night clubs on St. Maarten cater to a range of music lovers. From techno to old school styles, to the local flair to live music with live shows during the entire year. Check out our local listings at our front desk for various events including Carnival during the hours of 10am to 5pm.

The Antoine Restaurant offers excellent French meals for anyone who is looking for a delicious meal. Stop in for a relaxing lunch or have a light salad. The Antoine Restraint outdoor beach bar offers cool and refreshing drinks on lounge chairs under naturally grown palm trees, and lunch is available at the restaurants outdoor, thatch-roofed tables on the beach for a view of the scenery.

Another of the islands restaurants is the Hideaway. This restaurant and bar is laid back and exciting, anyone wanting to enjoy a delicious meal after a long day can stop by to enjoy a pirate-themed meal. The restaurant is hidden away a bit in the Pelican Keys, but you can find it quite easily. Drive down Billy Folly Road near the areas new theater and come right through the Pelican Resort to The Hideaway. The Hideaway is a cozy little restaurant and bar perched beside an overflowing pool that runs over through a spectacular view of palm trees, the Caribbean Sea and Saba Island.

For a luxury dining experience drop on by Florence and Christophe’s restaurant, La Villa, at 93 Grand Case Blvd. The menu delivers wonderful French cooking and the restaurant is open from 5:30 p.m to 10:30. The wine selections are fantastic and as one of the best restaurants in "the gourmet capital of the Caribbean,” La Villa brings all of its guests a beautiful evening with its local charm and French cuisine. For open air dining for both lunch and dinner, try the market of restaurants located at Grand Case on the French side. With over five different restaurants to choose from you can have open air dining with the waves crashing in the background in a wonderful village.

Yvettes restaurant located in the French Quarter area is a wonderful place to sample the local cuisine. From fresh sea food to steaks to the favorite ‘rice and peas’ and the must try ‘Johnny cakes’ you’ll get the taste of St. Maarten. Don’t forget to buy the cook book on the way out which has among many other recipes authentic local recipes for you to try at home. Bavaria is one of the islands oldest German Restaurants located just past the Simpsonbay Bridge on the way to Philipsburg. Try out this lovely small but cozy restaurant for your authentic German dishes. Don’t forget to try out the beer on tap!!!

St.Maarten also has many nearby casinos that can be located on the Dutch side of the island, clustered around the area’s airport. All of the casinos have slots; many have a variety of table games and Texas Hold 'em. For entertainment, you can go to the Princess Casino or Casino Royale for spectacular shows. The Princess Casino is within walking distance of the The Summit. And with 238 video slot machines and 8 different live game tables, customers can come to enjoy the night.
