Our Valuable Employee - Marino de la Cruz
Marino de la Cruz began working for The Summit Resort Hotel in August 1997 as a helper doing various duties while learning about the hotel. During the past 15 years, he has served in a number of capacities, including gardener, taking care of the hotel's beautiful landscaping, and most recently, interim head of maintenance, overseeing the hotel's physical plant.
 Although Marino has a quiet demeanor, he especially enjoys showing the younger guests the iguanas that live on the property, who venture out to sun themselves now and again. Marino is not the type to expect accolades, so he was surprised when his consistent, quality work was recently recognized by the St. Maarten Hospitality and Trade Association with the Crystal Pineapple Employee of the Year nomination, a recognition that was well-deserved.
Marino, you are a valuable member of The Summit Resort Hotel family! Thanks for all you do!
